Below are some example before and after photos. The before photos represent images you will get with a phone or low-end camera.
Exposure
One of the biggest challenges in real estate photography is dealing with large windows that create drastic differences in natural light. We all have experienced this issue when taking a picture with our phone in bad, uneven lighting. Focusing on the windows produces a clear shot of the buildings, but the interior is too dark (first photo). Focusing on the interior gives me the correct interior exposure, but the windows are now far too bright (second photo).
I'm able to combine multiple shots to produce one image with proper exposure for all elements in view (third photo).

Small Details Matter
Often neglected by DIY photographers, the following are small, but important details that result in clean, professional looking photos:
1) Horizontal lines are exactly horizontal (using a tripod)
2) Vertical lines are exactly vertical (using a tripod)
3) Wide angle lens to give the perception of a larger space
4) Proper exposure and lighting
